It is enough to drive more smartly, wasting less time in traffic jams! The AutoMapa Traffic system implementation turned out to be an effective solution for Polish traffic jams. The tool, created jointly by AutoMapa and Targeo.pl Internet location service, is used for collecting and processing road communication data. It is a comprehensive system for road traffic analysing, which one can use while travelling with AutoMapa GPS navigation system, through Targeo.pl system, and soon through a mobile phone with launched Targeo.mobi service or Drogowskaźnik ("Signposter") service. Just three months from its launch, AutoMapa/Targeo Traffic can boast about everyday information analyses from over 67,000 independent sources and vehicles that drive on average 3,5 million km on Polish roads every day. It creates the picture of road situation in cities and outside them. Such a solution allows to share with AutoMapa users not only the information on current road situation online, but it also enables forecasting its development depending on the time of the day and the day of the week. AutoMapa Traffic is an intelligent system. Every day it extends its knowledge on road traffic in Poland and enlarges the number of sources from which it receives data. Traffic lights failures, accidents, temporarily closed crossroads - all this affects traffic flow. Soon to be introduced, information on road traffic will also be available in mobile phone applications – Targeo.mobi and Drogowskaźnik (Signposter).
